Hatfield Forest Coppicing in the snow.

After a fall of snow the forest is very picturesque. As long as it is safe to do so we will carry out coppicing even in the most inclement weather.

Heavy snow lying on one of our ‘ stockades’ protecting the stumps from browsing by deer.

Even if the weather is hard it is often surprisingly sheltered working in the woodland.

Lengthening shadows as the sun sets near to the shortest day.

No matter what the weather lunch is always an important event around our ‘ comfort’ fire.
